Much of the place was built by ourselves with the help of local craftsmen.
The Mas de Saribou holds the demanding label Ecogîte® (label Gîtes de France) which guarantees minimum environmental impact both during and after construction.
Natural air-conditioning
Construction using bricks 50cm thick, and a planted roof insulated by straw bales of our own production.
Natural heating
Wood fed furnace using old trees from our orchards, solar panels.
Only healthy and natural building materials used
Lime, plaster, paint and wood from our own property (chestnut, walnut, robinia); stone from a local quarry (Ruoms).
Recycling wherever possible
Old doors, stone slabs or terracotta…
And finally, from the household linens to the cleaning products, complimentary toiletries, and all provided food, everything is 100% organic.
All sorts of board games for children and adults: Ping-Pong table, lawn bowls, mölky and slack line on request.
Not are children forgotten: numerous books and albums for them. Children are welcome at Mas de Saribou, we are very kid-friendly !

At your disposition: art books about our prehistoric heritage, history, natural history of the Ardèche, topographies, many books and comics.
Walks
During your stay, we can discover a ramble along a secret river (ideal for families). Or if you prefer, we can help you discover the footprints left by dinosaurs in the Ardèche 220 million years ago: kids love this !
In the sunny days, we lend you our vintage Citroën Méhari from 1978 : Peace and Love…
Enjoy picking your own veg and fruits, fresh herbs and flowers in the organic garden.
For those who stay a week or more, we invite you to a French apéro with locally and organically produced wines and food.
All in all, much special attention is paid to making your stay pleasurable.
